Christopher Bettner, OD - Colorado Springs, Colorado
Dr. Christopher Bettner has been serving the optometric needs of Colorado Springs since 1995. Dr. Bettner is trained in ocular pathology with an emphasis in the treatment and management of ocular diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma,and pre and post-operative care. Dr. Bettner specializes in computer vision syndrome, dry eye therapy, geriatric, and children’s vision. He is also an expert at specialty contact lens fittings including Corneal Reshaping Therapy (CRT), bifocal contacts, Kerasoft for keratoconus, and medically necessary contact lenses. Dr. Bettner is also licensed by the Colorado State Board of Optometry and is certified in the use of topical as well as oral therapeutic medications related to the care of the eyes.
Dr. Bettner received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Indiana University in 1991 and his Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University in 1995. He has been a member in good standing of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association for 15 years.
Besides being an avid golf enthusiast, Dr. Bettner enjoys spending time with his wife, Gretchen, and three children, Jordan, Nick, and Erin.

Mark Yates - Anthem, Arizona
Bettner Vision Arizona would like to introduce Dr. Mark Yates as the newest addition to our team.
Dr. Yates received his Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from the University of Missouri – St. Louis with a major in pre-optometry and minors in Chemistry and Psychology. He has always been passionate about health care, which led him to pursue his Doctorate of Optometry from USML, graduating in 1990. While in optometry school, he completed internships at the State University of New York, School of Optometry and the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Dr. Yates joins Bettner Vision after relocating to Arizona from Quantum Vision Centers in Illinois. He brings decades of experience in medical eye care and specialty contact lenses.
He takes great pride in providing his patients with the highest level of eye care in Arizona. His primary concern is for his patients’ visual needs and overall ocular wellness.
When Dr. Yates isn’t in the office seeing patients, he enjoys hiking and traveling with his sons, Mason and Landon. Mason is an author and guitarist and Landon is an excellent student and an avid gamer.
Jeff Jones, MD - Colorado Springs, Colorado
Jeff Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from La Sierra University in Riverside, California, and later completed medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California. He completed an internship at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, and then his ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University.
He is passionate about ocular health and treats a broad range of ocular conditions including eyelid conditions, corneal disease, cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal disease.
His main hobbies are mountain biking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
Brendan Tobler, OD
Dr. Brendan Tobler received his bachelors of science from Brigham Young University in Exercise Science in 2012 and his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University in 2016. He specializes in working with pediatrics, binocular vision disorders, and vision therapy.
Heather Van Law, OD, MS
Dr. Van Law was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Hillsdale College in Michigan in 2014. She received her Doctorate of Optometry and Master of Science in Vision Science from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2018. While in optometry school, Dr. Van Law was awarded the Lawrence Shaefer Award, which is given to the top clinician in the third year class. She completed externships at the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Health Care System and at Five Points Eye Care in Athens, Georgia. She remained actively involved in service organizations and has been on medical trips to Jamaica, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. She completed her post-doctoral residency in Primary Care and Brain Injury Vision Rehabilitation at Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System in 2019. During residency, she completed several continuing education lectures in the area in addition to interdisciplinary lectures to colleagues in the VA system. She has also presented a poster at the American Academy of Optometry national meeting.She is actively involved in the American Optometric Association and American Academy of Optometry. She is passionate about providing eye care to patients with traumatic and acquired brain injury and treating neuro-ophthalmic disease. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and exploring the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
